The Chelsea arrivals in Italy continue as Torino have announced the signing of defender Ola Aina from the Blues.

This follows Tiemoue Bakayoko’s move to A.C Milan as well as Mario Pašalić’s loan to Atalanta earlier in the summer.

As is the case with both the Bakayoko and Pašalić transfers, the deal includes an option for the deal to be made permanent as the Blues look to have a mass clear-out of a bloated youth system. The clause is valued at about €10m but after agreeing to extend his contract to 2021 Aina may be hoping he can impress manager Maurizio Sarri and earn a place in the Chelsea line up on his return.

Aina spent last year on loan at Hull City being almost ever-present for the Tigers missing just two league games in a campaign which saw Hull survive relegation after being in serious trouble midway through the season.

Speaking to the club website Aina said: “I hope to do well; I know this is a company that believes in young people and this is very important.

“I really want to experience this new experience to the full, thanks to all the Taurus for choosing me: now it’s my turn, I cannot wait to get started”.
