Internazionale have continued their business in the transfer window by signing winger Baldé Keita from AS Monaco on a season-long loan.

The loan will cost Inter €6m and the deal contains an option to purchase the player for a further €42m.

This deal makes Keita Inter’s eighth signing of the summer including Radja Nainggolan, Stefan De Vrij and Matteo Politano.

It will be Keita’s second spell in Italy after the player started his senior career with Lazio making 110 senior appearances in five seasons.

Keita joined Monaco last summer and has since gone on to be a key player for the side making 33 appearances as they finished 2nd in Ligue 1 behind a dominant PSG.

Keita was selected as part of Senegal’s World Cup squad this summer but only featured in the 1-0 loss to Colombia in Senegal’s final group game where despite being on the losing side he impressed leading to Michael Jones of The Independent saying that he: “Bombed forward on many occasions, delivered plenty of balls into the area and caused problems for the Colombian defence”

Inter will be hoping that he is able to repeat that level on performance on a consistent basis as they attempt to become the team that dethrones Juventus at the top of Italian football.
