According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sports Italia, Suso has today conducted talks at AC Milan headquarters with his agent Alessandro Lucci, Milan technical director Leonardo and sporting strategy and development director Paolo Maldini to keep the Spanish winger at the club.

These talks come amid rumours that Roma are looking to sign the winger after missing out on Malcom, despite having agreed on a fee for him when Barcelona swooped in with a larger offer, thus stealing the player from Roma’sr Roma noses.

It is likely that any deal to take Suso to Roma would rely on the club selling Diego Perotti first. Perotti was one of the better players in the Roma line up last season but aged 30, he is not getting any younger and Roma may see Suso as a long-term replacement for the Argentine, who is also rumoured to have had talks with management in the last few days.

Sources in Italy say that Suso was at the Roma training ground in Trigoria to discuss a potential move to the Rome based side but Gennaro Gattuso is keen to keep him at A.C Milan.

It is worth noting that earlier this month, Suso said in an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca that his intentions were to stay at Milan and extend his contract.
