Lazio have begun talks with Chelsea over a possible loan move for midfielder Mario Pasalic.
According to Calcio Mercato, Lazio are keen to bring Pasalic in on loan for next season, after his spell in Italy in 2016/17.
Pasalic spent the last campaign on loan to AC Milan from the Premier League champions.
The midfielder scored five times in 24 Serie A matches, catching the eye on a number of occasions.
However, it appears as though AC Milan have their eye on other targets, rather than signing Pasalic for another season.
The 22-year-old returned to Chelsea last week for pre-season but is expected to be let go by Antonio Conte this summer, due to the strength-in-depth of his current squad.
The report claims that Lazio and Chelsea are currently in talks over a deal and that a firm offer for Pasalic could come this week.
Pasalic has been spotted as a potential replacement for Marco Parolo, who has been linked with a move away.
