Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is set for a medical with AC Milan on Monday, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Romano claims that Milan have agreed a deal with Leverkusen that could rise to €24m to secure the signing of the talented playmaker.

Calhanoglu will now complete his medical on Monday before being officially announced as a Milan player.

Milan have already made five signings this summer, with Andre Silva, Frank Kessie, Fabio Borini, Mateo Musacchio and Ricardo Rodriguez all joining the club this summer.

Calhanoglu missed the second half of last season after he was issued a four-month ban by FIFA for an incident earlier in his career.

The Turkish international accepted a £100k payment from Trabzonspor to sign for them but then went against that to extend his contract with his current club.
