Atalanta defender wants big move
Atalanta defender Andrea Conti is pushing for a move to Serie A giants AC Milan this summer.
In an interview with Sky Sports Italia, Atalanta president Antonio Percassi has claimed that Conti is desperate to join Milan and a deal could be concluded next week.
Percassi claims that Conti wants to leave Atalanta amid interest from Milan and that the club have been working every day to iron out a deal with the San Siro side.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Percassi said this:
He absolutely wants to leave and join Milan, so we’ll see if we can manage to reach an agreement.
We are working on it every day to complete the transfer. It’s likely that next week will be decisive.
Conti has been competing for Italy in the under-21 European Championships this summer but now wants his future sorted after returning from the tournament.
Milan have been busy in the transfer market this summer, with Andre Silva, Mateo Musacchio, Fabio Borini, Frank Kessi and Ricardo Rodriguez having already signed this summer.
Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is also set to complete a €24m move to Milan on Monday.
