AC Milan bid £39 million for Belotti
AC Milan are looking to swoop for Torino’s Andrea Belotti, after bidding £39 million for his services, according to Sky Sports.
It is understood that the striker’s club want £56.5 million for him, and so it is likely that this bid will be rejected.
Milan’s approach illustrates their intention to beat Manchester United to the signature of the striker, even if they must spend big bucks to achieve it.
The Turin-based club are set to benefit financially if they sell the 23-year-old; they purchased him from Palermo for a sum of £6.5 million in August 2015.
Belotti may be attracted by a potential transfer to AC Milan, as they finished fifth in the Serie A this season. Whereas, his current club only managed to achieve 9th place.
The Italian international has made 70 appearances for Torino, scoring 38 goals. He also managed to break into the Italy senior team during his time there; he has made eight appearances and scored three goals.
Belotti would bring a goal-scoring threat to the San Siro, and Torino would benefit financially by selling him.
