When Arkadiusz Milik went down clutching his left leg in Poland’s game on Saturday and was then stretchered off, there were major fears from the off on what might have occurred.

Napoli’s fears were confirmed yesterday when medical tests showed the Pole had torn his cruciate ligament and would be facing an extended period on the sidelines.

Now striker less, or at least without a natural one, Napoli need to find a fix – and a quick one at that – for the man who’d scored 7 goals in 8 outings in all competitions before his unfortunate injury if they wish to keep in contention for the scudetto this season.

From relying on what they’ve already got and making the best of it to exploring the free agency market, Napoli certainly aren’t short of options for replacing Milik, although similar success to Milik with their chosen fix is unlikely perhaps barring one of the options.
