Milan target Sevilla tactician
La Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported that Unai Emery is a top candidate for the vacant managerial role at the San Siro, with Cristian Brocchi unlikely to be given an extension on his short-term deal.
Emery has had a successful spell with Sevilla since taking charge in January 2013. He has guided the Andalusian outfit to three consecutive Europa League titles alongside two 5th place finishes and a 7th place finish in La Liga.
Emery has been linked with a variety of jobs this summer including Everton and more recently, Paris Saint Germain by AS.
Milan will be hopeful that the Spaniard can improve on their 7th place Serie A finish last season and get the Rossoneri back into Europe.
Alternatively, Milan may look to former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini ahead of next season, who, like Emery has been linked with Everton this summer.
The fact that there is no contract to buy-out for Pellegrini could help swing the deal for the Milan owners.
