AC Milan reject Bacca bid
Milan have rejected a bid for Carlos Bacca from West Ham United per the players agent, Sergio Barila.
Speaking to The Guardian, Barila said “There was an offer last week from West Ham which was rejected”.
It’s somewhat surprising that Milan are even listening to offers for the forward, who managed to score 18 times in 38 Serie A matches last season and was a real standout in another poor season for the Rossoneri.
The reason given for Bacca’s openness to a move away from the San Siro is the lack of European football at Milan, who finished 7th in Serie A last term.
Clearly there’s been no decision either way regarding a move as of yet, the Colombian could be staying at Milan.
Barila went on to tell The Guardian that “Carlos is very happy in Milan because it is a very big club and he has enjoyed his time there so far. But they will not play in European competition next season and that could be a problem.”
West Ham will be hoping that they can prise Bacca away from Milan in a bid to improve on their 7th place finish last season and add some continental experience to the squad ahead of a Europa League campaign.
