Barcelona ready to offer €40m for Lazio winger
FC Barcelona are according to reports, considering to sign Lazio player Antonio Candreva in January.
Candreva has not been in the best of form so far this season with only one goal after 14 games. Certainly not a good start for an attacking player like Candreva, and a move away from Stadio Olimpico could very well help him to regain his top form.
Lazio manager Stefano Pioli and president Claudio Lotito are reportedly tired of Candreva’s perfomance and they will be looking to sell him in January before he sinks in value.
Spanish giants FC Barcelona have shown their interest to sign the player in January for a reported fee of €40m, a massive bid considering how Candreva has performed so far this season.
Barcelona’s sporting director Ariedo Braida, who was born in Italy, has reportedly followed Candreva for some time now and a move to the Nou Camp would certainly be a good experience for the Italian winger.
Before taking over as sporting director of FC Barcelona, Braida used to work as the sporting director for AC Milan, where he also considered to sign Antonio Candreva. However, as the demands from Lazio were too high, Milan decided to not sign him.
